Shadbush?

    This flowering shrubby plant is everywhere around my home in southern NJ, USA right now. I think it is shadbush but would like confirmation and if possible species ID.

    It's not shadbush but a rose (probably Rosa multiflora, but it's hard to tell).

    I think you are exactly right, I am using a newcomb guide and Rosa multiflora looks perfect to me... I am still struggling to use this guide, although it is definitely a great help.

    Amelanchier does not produce divided leaves and thorny stems.
