Shot these at sewage ponds, Iona waste water treatment plant this morning. The red ones are about 1 inch in size and look like tomato, which may be it. The black ones are smaller, about 5mm.
I think both may be Solanum nigrum (Black Nightshade) in the Solanaceae family which also includes tomatoes.
The red ones are tomatoes, one of many small fruit varieties. The second does look like Solanum nigrum.
Thanks a lot. The black/green ones sure look like S.nigrum. The red ones are much much bigger, if not found in the sewage pond and instead in a grocery, I surely will take them as cherry tomatoes !
