I see this plant everyehere, always same purple flower ... it is just starting to finish flowering in Kent, UK now ... normally goes on longer but this year very warm. Normally grows to about 4 foot high. Will grow in gardens or along path edges or in field margins. I.D. please! Thank you!
No, do not think fireweed, which we call Rosebay willowherb. I know that plant, which is very common here, and the colour of the flower is more gentle, different in shape and the leaves broader.
Looks like Linaria purpurea. Also comes in pink and white. http://www.wildchicken.com/nature/garden/nature_200_146.htm https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=l...L8z8UKjqjaAB&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=728
