seed pod

    can anyone help me with this or tell me where to look for the answer?
    i have a seed pod about the size of a fist, lite lime green in color, bumpy and the skin is l divied.

    Good thing I found this topic before I posted my question. I was at the Cedar Ridge Preserve near Dallas on November 12th and took a couple pictures of these seed pods, but didn't know the name of the tree.

    Unfortunately all the leaves had fallen off the tree already, so I couldn't identify the tree by leaves.
