    Hi all,

Been a rough couple weeks doing plant ID late-October in sagebrush country. Was coming across this one in particular that was vexing. It was in various states of dessication; I've attached pictures in both dried and green state, as well as zoomed out.

Bonus points if you can tell me what this macrophyte is. None of the information I'm finding has anything aquatic with such wide/thick/robust leaves. Was growing completely underwater in places or mostly emergent in others.

The grass I threw in because it looked like Reed Canary Grass in places, but others (like in the picture) it was growing 6+ ft (~2 m) and the fnflorence looked somewhat different.

    Thanks for your time!
