Three spring flowers from my garden on the Swedish west coast. 1) I'm quite sure it's a Scilla siberica 2) also Scilla siberica? -look how heavy the petals are... 3) Reminds me of a Daffodil so guessing some kind of Narcissus? Thanks :) // Magnus;
1. Is not a Scilla but Chionodoxa. Possibly Chionodoxa forbesii. http://www.google.co.uk/search?um=1...141l35703l0l37141l9l9l0l8l8l0l234l234l2-1l1l0 2. The shape of the petals and stamens do not look right for Scilla sibirica. Nor sure what this is. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=sc...&ndsp=13&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:54&biw=1272&bih=500 . . http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=sc...ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:81&biw=1272&bih=500 3. Narcissus.
Just trying to take Daffodils further! There are many named ones. Very difficult to be sure from a pic. However, it resembles one we grow called Narcissus Bridal Crown. But equally it could be a similar one. Date of flowering, height, scent all have to be part of the id equation! http://www.google.co.uk/search?um=1...5641l0l18719l19l18l0l10l10l1l296l1280l2-5l5l0
3) Looks like a good match to me. -my photos of it are taken May 28 an it's about 30 cm in height. 2) That photo is from April 13 and it should be ~10 cm Thanks :) // Magnus;
