runaway purple flowering shrub

    I call it a runaway because this hardly looked native and it was up at the (BC) Cypress Prov Park downhill ski area yesterday...sub-alpine- mind you, it seemed a very favorable site - inhabited also by and almost giant Smith's fairy bells.
    Any ID for the purple?

    Looks like Symphytum, comfrey.

    You are sure about the Smith's fairybells? That species is only known from Vancouver Island in British Columbia: E-Flora BC Atlas Page

    Here they are (or I think so). There were two of such plants that we noticed. Any idea on the blue I also posted?

    These are a Polygonatum of some sort, also not native. With Prosartes smithii, there will only be a single cluster of 1-3 flowers near the tip of each leafy stem.
