A friend gave me a cutting from a large rose shrub, see attached images. It apparently originated from UBC Botanical Gardens. Anyone has an idea what it is?
Rosa x odorata 'Mutabilis'. The Garden has obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity to ensure that certain species do not become commercially exploited without benefits to the country of origin, so cuttings are generally not permitted without curatorial review. Anything for sale in the Shop, though, has been reviewed as permissible to sell.
