Friend of mine mentioned that this plant by his workplace is constantly surrounded by bees, and we were both really curious as to what plant it was, but I couldn't find anything through reverse image searching the plant through either image. Stumbled onto your forum here so I figured I'd sign up and give it a shot to see if someone here might know what they are. If the images aren't sufficient, I'll ask him to take some more photos closer and also of the underside of the leaves.

Just got a notice I forgot to mention where this plant is from: It's from British Columbia, either around or in Vancouver (I'm not sure where his workplace itself is, as he's a security guard, just know he lives in the city).
