    Hello friend! I am a beginner in gardening subject, so I am not a specialist. However, this plant looks similar to phragmites australis. It is also called Common Reed. It is high as yours and its top is alike yours. Look here: https://gardenseedsmarket.com/grasses-en/ Hope I helped:)

    Thanks for the reply... but I'm dubious. The Phragmites appears to be much leafier than what I have, and, from what I can gather, wants a much wetter environment than my garden.

    No, I don't think so; Phleum has a much larger and "tighter" inflorescence than what I've got.
