Red berry plant identification NY

    Can anyone identify this plant for me, please?

    I'm in upstate NY. The photo was taken today.

    It's a honeysuckle, Lonicera. You have several invasive ones in your state. Was this from a wild plant or a garden setting?

    It's in my backyard. There are some blackberries in the same section too, which is on the edge of the lawn. There are also a variety of other plants/bushes which I considered weeds until I found the blackberries today.

    I did a quick search and it seems they are mostly mildly poisonous. I was wondering if they were edible.

    Yes, avoid re: edibility. Very few honeysuckle species have edible fruit. Those that do, do not have round red fruit.
