Hi We have just purchased a house in Spain and have acquired 2 trees in the front garden, which are very large. One is a Lemon tree but the other I do not know? Can anyone help I have posted a photo of the things hanging off the tree. If you know can you tell me how to look after it as it looks a bit wilted, as the house had been empty for over 6 months and also how to trim it? Thanks Zoe
The 'things' are dried-out fruit; they are edible when ripe (before they go off, though!) It shouldn't need pruning; if it is wilting, it may be that the former owner watered it regularly and it was used to this.
Hi Thanks for the replies. When I open one that has fallen on the ground it's like a hard nut inside about the size of a pistachio, help? How do I make it better? Thanks Zoe
Water would probably be the most important - it is native to southern Japan, which gets lots of rain in summer, the opposite of the Mediterranean climate.
