I've been trying to figure out what this vine is. It is nice looking and does seem to grow very tall, so I think it may make a nice lawn cover and what about an acre and a half of land and a push mower, it may be nicer to have this covering a big part of the yard at least, and I live in Illinois.

Glechoma hederacea (ground ivy, creeping Charlie, etc.). An invasive species in some areas of North America, and a bit of a tripping hazard as a lawn substitute.
