    Hi,

Is identifying the plant a part of the assigned work of the project? Or is it something you would like to know to help make the project better?

the project is to conduct a series of studies on the specimen via drawings and renderings, and then to present some research on the plant itself. I cant do the research part if i dont know what it is.

We generally do not identify plants for school projects (so that might be the cause of the lack of answers), but I think since ID'ing the plant is not something you've been assigned, it would be okay if someone knew the answer and replied to this particular query.

pretty common summer annual, you should be able to identify it yourself. it is commonly called blue salvia, maybe you can find out what the scientific name is.

Don't tell anyone i told ya this ;) its Salvia farinacea, you might want to just check that to make sure..............no sence in spending hours looking for a name when you have more important parts of the project to get on with.
