Hi. I'm wondering about this flower I found out in my yard. I know the pictures are kind of grainy (pc problems from my end), but this is at least a good (estimate) 1/2 or two feet tall with a very purple flower with yellow thingees on it. (I forget all of the technical botanical names for the parts of a flower, so please forgive me.) Is it a weed? Is it a flower? What's its name? I'd really really really appreciate anyone's input for this. Thank you ahead of time for just reading this post and a super big thanks for anyone who can help me out with this!!!
I agree. It is a Tradescantia obiensis Rafinesque, or Spider Wort. A real 'take-over' plant. I love 'em.
