    Purple Alpine wildflower; Cirsium arvense?

I was thinking this is a Circium acaule, now I'm thinking Cirsium arvense; but the color seems wrong. The pictures I've found show it to be much more red / lavender. Any other guesses (or confirmation).

picture taken at about 1000m in the Swiss Jura Mountains.

(I originally said Circium acaule, but that is clearly wrong)

Certainly looks like Cirsium arvense (Cirse des champs / Creeping Thistle) to me, the colour (at least with this photo on my screen!) is well within the normal range of variation.
