I moved into my home 2 years ago and have noticed this yellow perennial growing by my sidewalk. It blooms in small bunches in very early spring or even very late winter, if you will. I would appreciate knowing the name of this flower, and the best way to transplant it. Advice on best time of year, and post-transplant care would also be appreciated. The photos were taken on March 17, 2009 at about 1:30pm EST.

Crocus ... I would have never guessed it. The only Crocus I have seen were either white, bluish, or purple. Thank you both very much, and thank you for the transplanting tips.
