Please Identy mystery flower

    Came from a bulb, but we didn't know what they were. The blooms are quite interesting, but only lasted a day for each flower. I could only catch them on the weekends because they came and went during workdays!

    Flowers were a few inches wide, stalks about a foot high. The long green foliage belongs to the flower (not the rounder leaves beneath).

    Becbrat,
    It is a TIGRIDIA pavonia, aka Mexican Shell flower or Tiger Flower. Check under either name in Sunset Western Garden book.........Barb Lloyd
