I do not know if this is a vine, tree or shrub. I has grown fairly fast with the stem turning dark purple/red with age. The flowers are white in the beginning and become berries. Don't really know what to do with it. Thank you, Kat
Hi Kathryn, I think the plant is Phytolacca americana commonly called poke weed or poke berry. I think the same plant was identified in this thread. As to what to do with it, I think it makes a beautiful ornamental. It is poisonous, so you may not want to keep it if you have children who might be tempted by the berries.
