Please ID this plant

    hello fellow green folk

    I found these dried seed pods in a garden but I did not see what their bloom or foliage looked like.
    can you please ID this for me.

    How very remarkable are the structures of these pods.
    When they were green there was no sign of connective tissues holding the capsules together.

    Now that it is fully dried and I have discharged it of all its seeds i can see the interlocking fibres that
    held the pods together. I certainly want to share this picture for you to see.

    Natures engineering is so outstanding and a beauty for us to behold eh!!!
