This plant (is now a bush) is growing in front of my house and I don't have any idea of what it is. It looks pretty and similar to Nandina/Heavenly Bamboo but it has only three leaves in each opposite stem. I have spread different kinds of seeds everywhere for many years and 99% of them never grew. I don't know if heavy rains moved some seeds to that lower area or it came from other place. The enclosed picture is a piece of one of the many branches this plant has. This twig is about 10" by 3".
I look in the internet for Desmodium. The leaves of Desmodium sessilifolium look similar but this plant have about 1/2 inch stalks(the place from where the leaves come out) and the Desmodium sessilifolium don't have stalks (the leaves come from the center twigh). This plant has some kind of a little bud coming from the stem (stalk?) next to where the leaves come out) but I haven't see any flowers, yet.
After comparing them, the leaves of this plant are finer and don't have that shinny look with the two different kinds of greens. The Desmodium paniculatum looks very similar but I guess I will have to wait for the flowers and seeds.
