    If it is, its berries are bitter but edible.

    Ok, thanks. I'm just going to post a picture of the flowers it has... hopefully that helps in identifying it.

    The flowers look right enough.. I think it is a Sorbus aucuparia... Thanks!

    Ditto to Rowan Sorbus aucuparia. The berries are not edible raw, but you can use them to make jam / jelly; they needs lots of sugar. Rowan jelly is a traditional accompaniment to game (venison, etc.) in Europe, in the same way that cranberry jelly is eaten with turkey in America.
