Can someone please help me identify this plant - I am not sure whether or not it is considered a tree or a bush. This photo was taken at the Gouin Reservoir, about five-hundred kilometers north of Montreal. It obviously thrives in water. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
Looks like Myrica gale, from what one can judge from the distant photos. Within the small possibility that it is something else, the catkins would suggest a willow, Salix spp..
