Please help identify this pink shoreline plant.

    Could you please help me identify this plant? It seems like all the numerous plants in the wilds behind Crofton are of European descent.

    Thanks for the information. The hardtack turns out to be a native plant. I've been having so much fun with these plants I went and bought a couple of field guides from the second hand bookstore.
