    I just bought this place and there is a stunning flowering tree in my backyard.
    Anyone knows what tree it is?

    Looks a lot like Prunus lusitanica.

    Frequently sold and planted in this region but (like P. laurocerasus) actually a weed in greenbelts, parks and other undeveloped wooded sites in and around local communities.
