Please help identify - hibiscus??

    It looks like a hibiscus, but it's smaller. The flowers are about 2 inches across and are orange. The leaves are heart-shaped with fine jagged edges. I'm sorry I can't provide a picture. We're in Portland, Oregon, so I'm fairly certain it's not the tropical variety. We're wondering about care, frost protection, etc.

    Sounds like Abutilon, not hibiscus. A picture would tell me if I was wrong though

    The mallow family is huge and not always easy to speciate. See if it looks like a Sphaeralcea sp. Images
