Please help ID my mystery herb

    This plant has very delicate white flowers and small parsley-like leaves. The growing pattern reminds me of dill, but the flowers exude a delicate licorice/anise-like scent. I thought they might be anise or licorice, but look very unlike the photos I have found. My mother told me she planted one of these a few years ago and they had completely overtaken the bed amonst the spinach. They are thriving in zone 4. If you require a different picture, please let me know. THanks for your help.

    Chervil, or possibly Coriander.

    Perfect, you are correct. I found a photo of Chervil online and it is a match. After reading about the culinary uses of this herb, I'm grateful she left one remaining in the garden! Thank you for your help.
