    Hi,

Could you please help me to identify this plant?
I thought about Onopordom. If this is the case, someone would have an idea of the exact name?
It was gathered yesterday in the center of Tunisia.
It is over two meters high.

    Thanx!

Maybe Cirsium vulgare. Probably that genus, anyway.

    THANK YOU!!

In Tunisia, there is only three species of Cirsium :

    C. echinatum, C. scabrum & C. vulgare.

Could it be C.echinatum (I took new photos of the flower)?

Looks like Cirsium vulgare to me too. Very little information available on C. echinatum, but what I found suggests it is very similar to C. vulgare but has a short stem, unlike C. vulgare and your specimens.

    Thank you for your help!

Sorry, I meant "Could it be C. scabrum" because of the color of the flower.

The portion that I photographed was short, but the plant has other long ramifications (more than 50 cm).
