I found some "pods" while hiking Snow Cyn in St George, southern Utah, and I cannot identify them. I will attach a picture of the pods. They are very thin skinned and not very hard. I opened one and it has a small, threadlike mass inside, sort of like a spider web with seeds (?) in the center. The size of these pods range from nickel to quarter size. Thanks for your help.
