Dear Forum, I live in South London and a plant has appeared in my garden that I cannot identify. It "arose" under my bird feeder and may have come from bird seed - except that I haven't used bird seed for a couple of years. I now use sunflower hearts and the plant is not a sunflower. I attach a picture of the plant and another of the fruit. The flowers are fairly insignificant and start off pale yellow going to white after a day or so. The fruits, so far, are green and very spiky. The spikes are soft at the moment.
Hope the pics are attached now. I'm new to this so sorry about the ommission Dear Forum, I live in South London and a plant has appeared in my garden that I cannot identify. Hey wackyplant, check here for instructions on attaching images: http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=725 I was thinking Datura at first, too, but insignificant flowers would not fit.
No, nor would the leaves, which are more like plane tree leaves. Also the flowers and fruit are upright and the fruit is covered in quite large spikes.
