I am a new gardener. I planted some seeds I bought from a store and where I planted and only where I planted the many many little black grain like seeds that were in the package I am getting the plant or weed that is in the image I attatched. My mom and sister are convinced these are weeds and they want to pull them up to make way for something else, but I am sure that it is from the seeds I planted. Am I wrong? Unfortunately I threw out the package after I planted them. Are they poppies-I seem to remember poppies as one of the five plants I bought. I'll keep track more next time. Please help! -Dave
Re: weed or not? Looks like a Chenopodium, or a close relative. Edible, you can use them like spinach.
