Plant ID from Vancouver Island. Fern?

    Saw several of these growing in shade at Yellow Point on Vancouver Island this weekend. Doesn't appear to be Parsley Fern or Leathery Grape Fern. The whole plant is about 30 centimeters wide. Perhaps not a fern at all.

    Thanks Ron, but I don't think so. The leaflets are fused at the base and the leaves have a curly appearance.

    Thanks Ron and Daniel. Yes, the Senecio jacobaea looks like a match. Confusing because Jacob's Ladder (Senecio jacobaea) is an aster while Jacob's Ladder (Polemonium pulcherriumum) is a Phlox.

    Senecio jacobaea is called Common Ragwort, not Jacob's Ladder.

    Thank you. And it appears to also be called Tansy ragwort.
