Whilst visiting a small farm/smallholding that produced chicken, pigs plus cassava and mango and avacado and other local fruits my eye was caught by an interesting plant - only one clump could I find. It was growing wild and the farmer had no interest in it as a food plant. The stem was green and triangular and the white flower was on the right on top of the stem. It had no odour. The area was very fertile with plenty of water. The date was January 2014 and the area was near Kinshasa. Any idea would it could be?
