I saw a small dogwood at a show last week and didn't write down the name of it. It was so unusual looking. The bracts were large and swirled pink & white. Sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks, but I don't think it's Rubra. The bracts are more white with the pink 'stirred' in. It's a beautiful tree.
It might be Cornus florida Apple Blossom. http://images.google.com/imgres?img...n-gb:IE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&sa=N&um=1 This web site is a copy from the book 'Dogwoods' by Paul Caul Cappiello and Don Shadow. If you scroll down you can see a list of all the cultivars with a description. I wondered about Cornus florida Amerika Touch o Pink, but cannot find any pics on the www. Hope this helps. http://books.google.com/books?id=tO...=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5#PPA97,M1
I spoke to someone who was at the show and was told it is a Pink Flame. I haven't found a picture to confirm, but a description says " lovely white brushed with pink" so I'm going with Pink Flame. Thank you so much for your suggestions.
