I found this penstemon on June 6, 2006 at a parking lot on highway #1 just north of Alexandra Lodge (between Spuzzum and Boston Bar). I suppose that it might be coast penstemon (Penstemon serrulatus) but I am not sure about this. Can you tell us your opinion about which species this plant belongs to? Robert.

I would guess that also but would take a look at a copy of Strickler, NORTHWEST PENSTEMONS (Flower Press) to check.

Penstemon serrulatus(?) from the Fraser Valley

    Hi Ron,

thank you (also for Eriophyllum lanatum which I had also suspected already but I was confused by the variability of the leaves). I haven't got the book about penstemons which you recommend (yet) but I guess that my assignment of the species is correct unless someone comes up with a different suggestion. Robert.
