In The Garden: patches of this throughout yard

    I do not recall this appearing in my yard in Portland, OR in past years but I have quite a few patches this year. I have searched sites for Oregon weeds, ground covers, invasives and cannot find it. Can someone tell me what it is and if it is okay to let it be.

    Maybe Prunella vulgaris.

    Thank you for your respnse. It does look similar to Prunella vulgaris. I will have to see if it puts out those flowers. If it is, I should probably eat some of it. Seems to be good for one's health.
