Unsure of what to do - just recently noticed brown tips on branches and a heavy browning of last years new growth. Our tree is 12' + and spends winters outside - but not nights when temp. goes below 35(ish). For years it's been happy propped sideways in an unheated garage when below that temp. I wonder about replanting to a larger container or adding new dirt around and under in the same container-thanks-

    Geoffrey,

I have Norfolks half that size that took cold snaps to 25 degrees last winter with no cover at all and are fine. If you haven't kept them well watered, though, you may have left it susceptible to injury from cold. If it's brown, it won't go green again, sorry. Best you can do is to keep it happy and healthy, and try to make sure that it does better next year.
