    Hello:

Does anyone know the common name for the orchids below?

    Thanks,

Left and middle are Cymbidium hybrids - of which there are many thousands, and only a Cymbidium breeder or enthusiast would have a hope of identifying one. I have a hunch the one on the left is one of the "miniature" hybrids.

Pic on right is not an orchid at all, but an Alstroemeria, probably also a hybrid. They are mostly bred for the florist trade, grown under glass or plastic.

Orchids always have their naughty bits reduced to compact versions, like those seen on the cymbidiums shown here. An orchid never has long, protruding stamens like those shown by the alstroemeria. Other seemingly orchid-like flowers encountered can be ruled out right off on the basis of this distinction alone.
