Appreciation: Onoclea sensibilis - Bead fern

    This was right next to the crested male fern I was trying to identify. I'm pretty sure it's Onoclea sensibilis (the list of fern websites I included in another posting yesterday really helped! It's in the Plants Identification Online Resources file now), common name Sensitive Fern, Bead Fern, Sympathy Fern. I didn't know when I took the third photo of the underside of the leaves that there would not ever be sori there, as these have separate fertile fronds.

    Sensitive fern, Onoclea sensibilis, still green because we have not seen any frost in the area yet.
