not sure what I planted here

    Can anyone help with what I planted here? The first photo, package said peppermint (but it's not) and the second, I forgot to mark it but it is minty smelling.

    The first photo has attributes consisent with Peppermint (Mentha x piperita), not sure why you don't think it is (scent, taste?). The second looks like Origanum vulgare (Oregano, Wild Marjoram) which has been known to have a 'minty' component.

    The plant that is suppose to be peppermint has NO smell. I have other peppermint plants in another place and they look nothing alike.

    Does not look like peppermint to me, but I have no idea what it is. The flowers forming may help with ID.
