we've been given this plant which we want to revive. the word/name 'everlast' is attached to it but even as plant novices, we know that this does not make for a very specific identification. any ideas, anyone?

Soil looks wet, may need to be bare-rooted and put in fresh soil that is not so damp.

yeah, the person who gave it to us also has second-hand information. supposedly it doesn't have roots and just grows from its bulb. i'm trying to use these picture based plant identification websites. if my eye is correct, i can in the every least say that it has yellow-green, ovate, petiolate leaves. as you can see, it also has a cylindric stem shape. any thoughts on what it might be?

Looks like Zamioculcas (you see cut leaves, not stems).
