As the questions + answers and discussions continue to increase in number, so do the number of forums. While it may be daunting to the new user, I've decided to organize and create forums so that all of the resources on a particular plant group or type of gardening are in one spot if there have been enough questions and discussions to warrant it (roughly 10 threads or 100 posts). People who are browsing for specific information would likely use the search facility (or come to the site via Google). People who are looking for information on a topic, I am hoping, will appreciate the information being organized into groupings. People who like to browse to learn have the entire forums at their disposal to look through. If you are looking for a post you have made, it may have been moved into one of the new (or fairly new) forum areas to get the ball rolling / organize in those areas. New forums: Organic Gardening Fruit and Vegetable Gardening Fruit Trees Grapes and Grape Vines Pacific Northwest Wild Plants Identification California (for discussions on gardening and natural history specific to California) Trees - General Shrubs - General Arbutus Dogwoods Similar to the California forums, a lot of questions in the Hortboard forum that were specific to the local area of Coastal British Columbia, Interior BC, or Northern BC were moved into those parts of the forums (which were created in a previous expansion). To give a small idea of how things have grown: July 2001 - May 2003: 500 threads in 22 months May 2003 - Dec 2003: 1250 threads (additional 750 in 7 months) Dec 2003 - June 2004: 3000 threads (additional 1750 in 6 months)
