Penstemon palmeri (or a cultivar of it). Was this in a garden or in the wild?

It came up in my flower garden in late April. I planted a wild flower seed mix in 2011. Was pleasantly surprised to have this come up two years later and was wondering if it were from the mix of seeds. Thank you for identifying it, I will see what I can learn about it on line?

Yes, likely from the wild flower seed mix, since it is a native wildflower in your region. There is a fair bit of information about it online, if you search for it by scientific name.

Yes I was doing just that. Great plant for the AZ heat and it grows to an impressive height. Thanks again!

Well, truth be told, I'm a bit envious. Would love to see it one day, but I imagine it wouldn't perform well in this climate.
