    mystery tree

    here is a pic of a fast growing tree here in Utah,
    in my yard.

    Reminds me most of a walnut, perhaps Juglans × intermedia, the hybrid between Persian Walnut (Juglans regia) and Black Walnut (Juglans nigra). But a wider photo showing a branch with several of the compound leaves would help.

    Michael's likely correct. The commonest compound-leaved yard trees will likely be ashes--they thrive in most Wyoming towns, so they should be very happy in Utah.

    you are right,
    i looked @ more pics of walnut trees online and thats it for sure. I will get a pic of the 4' tree tomorrow and show you the rest.
