If you know what kind of plant/tree this is, please tell.

This one is growing randomly next to my house and it keeps getting taller and taller and I'm too excited to chop it down. The stalk is about 2.5 inches - 3 inches in diameter currently, and the leaves are over 24 inches wide. The stems are all hollow and it grows super fast.

All the same, you'd best get rid of it - much too close to the house for a large tree with invasive roots.

Or cut down low every year at end of winter and grow for the huge leaves likely to result from this treatment.

Get rid of it. It is a nasty weed tree that will ruin your foundation.
