this is in san Antonio she sent pics minus leaves with a couple small flowers and asked me what it was. I dunno not my cup of tea. Some help please... Im sure it is common prosaic.
Rather out of focus but perhaps a flowering quince (Chaenomeles). I have images of a range of them at http://www.botanicalstockphotos.com/photos-chaenomeles-222.htm. If she looks she may see something close.
