    Don't know the first one, but #2 could possibly be Phlox maculata, common name Wild sweet william? Harry

    Wrong habit for Phlox maculata, this one probably P. stolonifera.

    I dont know no. 1, but I want to make a guess for no. 2 - Saponaria ocymoides

    I think Josephine's Saponaria ocymoides is the answer for #2. I think I can make out the teeth {barely :), my eyesight isn't what it used to be} on the petals in at least one of the flowers towards the bottom of the photo. Harry

    Now that you mention it I noticed it wasn't right for a phlox but didn't build on the thought. I even used to grow the soapwort, have seen it many times elsewhere.
