I came away from the Mt Baker slopes quite giddy with flowers. Can anyone help me ID these, please? I know the red is obviously Castilleja, but which? The blue is a poor photo, I am sorry, and it was all on its own, never saw another. And Saxifraga? All over the place in the scree, but have not been able to find it in the books I have...

    Thank you...

The blue flowered plant in the first photo is common butterwort - Pinguicula vulgaris, It is a carnivorous plant which usually lives in wet, nitrogen poor soils and supplements its diet with small insects which get stuck to its lemony yellow leaves (seen in the background).
The second is likely Scarlet Paintbrush - Castilleja miniata
The third plant is Partridgefoot - Luetkia pectinata
