    #1 - Carpinus betulus.
    #2 - Romneya coulteri.
    #3 - ?
    #4 - ?
    #5 - Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Variegatum'.
    #6 - Fuchsia magellanica.
    #7 - Buxus (sp.).
    #8 - Possibly another Buxus.

    Were #3 and #4 blooming before you took the picture? They kind of look like the seed-pods from delphiniums...

    Yes, these are the seedpods at the moment, but the flowers looks almost the same size, colour, shape.
    I have cut this plant back hard 3 winter, and as you see on the picture,the base became very woody, and strong, about 5-6 cm across.
    the plant would grow about 1.2 - 1.5 m tall.

    On #3/4, the leaf shape (pinnately divided) is wrong for Delphinium (palmately divided).
