Second post of many ... last February, we visited both Oahu and The Big Island and I took so many photos, including so many plants which were growing wild - without name tags. Both the red flowered trees and yellow flowered trees were found in Honolulu, close to sea level. I initially thought the red flowered tree was an African Tulip Tree but it is not; the flowers and leaves are quite different. Anyone out there familiar with Hawaii flowers? Don Wilson
1. Looks like Delonix regia. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sug...Bw&biw=960&bih=485&sei=5tz7T-fGO4eW8gO_5eWEBw 2. Looks like Tabebuia sp. https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=...f.,cf.osb&fp=ab1582a535db6814&biw=960&bih=485
2 could also be Tecoma sp, but I think SS might be right, since it has no leaves on it at the moment....
I checked my hi res photos up close .. I'm pretty sure you're right, re 1. Looks like Delonix regia and 2. Looks like Tabebuia sp. I saw both species in several locations, but there was never a name tag to be found. Don Wilson
